SBA volunteers honored for excellence among their peers

Two members of the WSU School of Business Administration Board of Visitors (BOV) recently received national recognition for their professional achievements:

David Leone (M.B.A. '85) is ranked 20th on Motor Trend's 2014 Power List for his role in the launch of the new Cadillac CTS. Leone, who chairs the BOV, served as the chief engineer for the vehicle, which was also Motor Trend’s pick for the 2014 Car of the Year. The Power List annually names the top personalities in the automotive industry according to their innovative contributions during the previous year.

Lorna Utley, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit, received the Matthews Entrepreneurial Award from Goodwill Industries International. The award is presented annually for outstanding demonstration of the entrepreneurial spirit in the development of new market revenues and jobs for people with disabilities and disadvantages who face challenges to finding employment.

The Board of Visitors is comprised of a diverse group of business leaders from across Southeastern Michigan. BOV members serve at the invitation of the dean of the School of Business Administration. Their role is to advise and support the dean on the strategic direction and advancement of the school. A full list of the current BOV members is available here.
