National Football Foundation honors several Spartans, other locals for grades

The National Football Foundation and the College Hall of Fame named 721 college players as members of this year's Hampshire Honor Society. Players from all divisions who maintained a 3.2 grade-point average during their careers made the cut. Wayne State University Warriors making the cut were: Wide receiver Troy Burrell, offensive lineman Will Khoury, defensive lineman Jimmy Kinaia, offensive lineman Corey Oberstaedt (a finance major), running back Josh Renel (a marketing major) and defensive end Jon Robinson.
