Mike Ilitch School of Business welcomes Ronia Kruse to its advisory board

The Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University is proud to welcome Ronia Kruse as a member of its Board of Visitors.

Ronia Kruse is founder, president and CEO of OpTech LLC and OpTech Solutions LLC, an award-winning, Michigan-based consulting firm. OpTech Solutions LLC provides industry solutions within government, healthcare insurance, utilities, finance and manufacturing; OpTech LLC provides talent acquisition services within information technology, engineering, cybersecurity and more. Kruse has utilized her broad range of expertise and experience to build companies into highly successful, agile and versatile businesses. Her professional capabilities encompass corporate strategy and development, treasury and financial management, and marketing and branding.

Kruse’s knowledge in the areas of business development, strategic partnership, human capital planning, talent management, leadership development and cutting-edge technology solutions continues to impact the successful growth of OpTech LLC.

As an active or past member of numerous boards of directors, such as TechServe Alliance, Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan, BELLE Michigan Investment Committee, St. Dominic’s Outreach Center, Detroit Housing Commission, Women Impacting Public Policy and Inforum, Kruse positively impacts the community.

Although Kruse has won numerous personal awards, such as the Women Presidents’ Organization – 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies, she also takes pride in the awards OpTech has earned under her leadership. These include Top 500 Diversity-Owned Businesses in the United States, Top 500 Women-Owned Businesses in the United States, Inc 5000, and the National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.

In her spare time, Kruse enjoys golfing, physical fitness and running. She currently resides with her husband and three daughters in southeast Michigan.

Kruse is a two-time graduate of WSU, having received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation.

Board of Visitors members serve at the invitation of the dean. Their role is to advise and support the dean on the strategic direction and advancement of the school. A full board roster is available here.
