Management doctoral student accepts faculty position in Pittsburgh

Tapan Seth, a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Business Administration at Wayne State University, has accepted an offer to join the faculty of Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh as an assistant professor in the Department of Management, effective fall 2014.

Seth earned a B.S. in management from Brigham Young University in 2005 and a M.S. in finance from the University of Tulsa in 2007. Seth successfully defended his dissertation proposal, titled "Essays on the Valuation and Performance of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs)" in late 2013 and will earn his Ph.D. in strategic management and entrepreneurship from the School of Business Administration in 2014.

Seth was the recipient of the School of Business Administration doctoral program’s 2013 Excellence in Teaching and Excellence in Research awards. In 2010 and 2012, he was awarded the Thomas C. Rumble University Graduate Fellowship through WSU.
