KPCC-FM: Marick Masters on the Trump Administration's apprenticeship job program

The White House says studies of federally funded job training showed they don’t pay off in the long run with well-paying jobs. The Trump administration apprenticeship program would be run by business groups and colleges, people would be paid to learn a skill. Marick Masters teaches business at Wayne State University. “When people are actually done with their training program, they're ready to start on the job. They feel comfortable, they know that they’re going to have a support network there and it’s a much smoother transition, and they’re able to realize the benefits.”
