Ilitch School business organization Net Impact invites peers to learn about urban farming

The Wayne State University chapter of Net Impact, housed at the Mike Ilitch School of Business, is hosting its first event of 2019 Saturday, May 4 at the Oakland Avenue Urban Farm to learn about sustainability in neighborhood farming and to volunteer with the farm to help them prepare for their summer Farmer's Market.

Urban farming is important because it contributes to urban food security and nutrition, it has a strong impact on the local economy, and it improves the greening of the city.

You do not have to be a member of Net Impact to volunteer, but you should be an Ilitch Business student. For more information, follow Net Impact on Instagram @netimpactwsu.
