Ilitch School board member named to prominent medical group board of directors

Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business Board of Visitors member Thomas Nantais has been named to the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) Board of Directors, effective January 2016.

Nantais earned his bachelor’s and M.B.A. (’82) from WSU. Since 2005, he served as the chief operating officer for the Henry Ford Medical Group. Nantais has been with the Henry Ford Health System for 33 years and has had numerous roles within the organization, including chief financial officer and assistant vice president of corporate finance. His primary role now includes overseeing the group’s operating budget and the physician compensation programs.

Nantais is the immediate past chair of the AMGA COO Council and was the first chair of the AMGA CFO Council. He is a board member of the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity & Inclusion, a not-for-profit company in the Detroit area, which focuses on educating companies and municipalities on key issues around diversity.
