ILEAD to host real estate career exploration event for women Oct. 26

Hosted by the Mike Ilitch School of Business Institute for Leadership and Diversity (ILEAD), Women @ Work: Developing Detroit is the first in a series of events targeted to help WSU women explore, establish, advance their careers. The event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, from 3-6 p.m. in the McGregor Memorial Conference Center. It is presented by Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Detroit

Women are helping to develop Detroit, playing key roles – as managers, engineers, architects, marketers, attorneys, technologists, accountants, financial professionals and more – in revitalizing the look and feel of the city's commercial and residential infrastructure.

At this event, WSU students and alumni will network and be inspired by accomplished women eager to share stories and insight about exciting career opportunities in commercial real estate.

The keynote address will be delivered by Jennette Smith, editor of Crain's Detroit Business. It will be followed by a roundtable discussion with influential CREW professionals in a wide variety of development-related disciplines.

CREW is the premier professional organization dedicated to advancing the success of women in commercial real estate. Founded in 1986, CREW Detroit is an organization of more than 180 professional women in a growing national network of more than 8,000 professional women in 66 chapters across the United States and Canada.

Women @ Work: Developing Detroit will also offer information about internship opportunities and scholarships, free headshot photos, gift bags and more. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot early.
