Get OneCard discount at two LCA restaurants

Anyone who has a Wayne State OneCard will get 15 percent off their entire bill — excluding alcohol — at the District Market Detroit and Kid Rock's Made in Detroit, two restaurants located inside the new Little Caesars Arena.

Show Your One Card & Save is a program designed to connect the Wayne State community with local shops, restaurants and businesses by offering special discounts or promotions to its 28,000 students and 6,500 faculty and staff. Participation in the program is free, and businesses must commit to offering the promotion or discount for one year from the start of the program.

Students can study in the marketplace and eatery, which offers five different fresh eats selections, including many local vendors. Fresh Zingerman's coffee and breakfast are offered at Sugar & Brew Monday through Friday as early as 8 a.m., and lunch is available at four restaurants from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Kid Rock's Made in Detroit carries a menu of both classic Detroit and Southern-influenced dishes for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Access to both dining options is available from Woodward Avenue.

The Little Caesars Arena is located directly next to the new Ilitch School facility, which sits on Woodward at Temple Street. The new location brings students closer to the heart of Detroit's business community and enhances access to internship and career opportunities.

School officials hope in the future to expand dining options in the District Detroit for students and faculty.
