Emagine CEO Paul Glantz to speak to business students Nov. 30

Paul A. Glantz, CEO and co-founder of Emagine Entertainment and president of Proctor Financial, will speak to Mike Ilitch School of Business students Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 4:30 p.m. in Student Center Building room Hilberry B. Glantz is a 1980 graduate of the Ilitch School and an emeritus member of its Board of Visitors. The talk is presented by Business Student Senate.

A CPA with a strong background in accounting, Glantz has led Proctor Financial as its president since 2007 and is the driving force behind Southeast Michigan's Emagine Theatres, the first in the world to convert to high-definition digital imagery from 35mm film and to introduce complete stadium seating. 

In addition to his B.S. in business administration with high distinction from Wayne State, Glantz holds a master of science in taxation from Walsh College. In 2006, the Ilitch School recognized Glantz with its Distinguished Alumnus Award, and in 2011, Wayne State’s Irvin D. Reid Honors College named him one of their first ever “Pillar Award” recipients as an alumnus affiliated with the college who has distinguished himself in his profession and in service to humanity. Glantz also earned a Distinguished Alumnus Award from Walsh College in 2011.

Glantz is actively involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors. His volunteer efforts include serving on the Board of Directors of Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan and the Wayne State University Foundation, as chairman of the Wayne State University Foundation Investment Committee Board and as treasurer of the Detroit Chapter of Variety International. In recognition of his contributions, Paul was awarded the 2007 Presidential Citation Award by the Detroit Chapter of Variety International, The Children’s Charity.
