Eater Detroit: Fourteen East moving to Ilitch School
Art Center cafe Fourteen East is preparing to uproot itself from the Park Shelton this fall. The eight-year-old coffee and tea shop located along Woodward Avenue announced the move through Facebook on Tuesday evening. Fourteen East is departing from its longtime address near the Detroit Institute of Arts and relocating to 2771 Woodward Avenue in the Wayne State University campus’s Mike Ilitch School of Business in Cass Corridor. The minimalist, gallery-style shop owned by Joanne Czerny specializes in coffee and tea and is a favorite stop for customers looking for a slice of quiche or a scone in the museum district.
