Detroit Venture Partners executive to visit campus this week

Wayne State’s Mike Ilitch School of Business Financial Management Association will be hosting Jared Stasik, the vice president of Detroit Venture Partners, on Thursday, March 30, in the Student Center in Hilberry E from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Stasik will be sharing his experiences within the venture capital world. He has broad expertise in financial modeling, operational analysis, sales planning and market research.

Spencer Crane, president of FMA, said the event is a good idea to attend for anyone that is focused on any kind of entrepreneurial idea or interested in seed capital.

“It’s going to be a great presentation,” he said. “With all of the startups and entrepreneurial activity in Detroit, DVP is at the center of that action.”

Crane also said the event is a good networking opportunity.

“We are probably going to be discussing the deal environment right now in the greater Detroit area,” he said.

Students are encouraged to dress business casual for the event. For any questions, please email fma@wayne.edu
