DBusiness: Wayne State creates sports, entertainment management class for winter 2018

Detroit’s Wayne State University has unveiled a new course on sports and entertainment marketing for undergraduate students of all majors. The course will provide an overview of the industry with an emphasis on the use of business principles to identify, attract, and retain consumers. As part of the curriculum, students will interact with the front offices of Detroit’s major league sports teams — Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons, and Detroit Lions. In addition, there will be building tours of facilities throughout the District Detroit such as Little Caesars Arena, the Fox Theatre, and Comerica Park (The District Detroit is the 50-block area around Little Caesars Arena).
