College Trail: Vasilauskas keeps winning

Finance major Ethan Vasiliauskas has done nothing less than consistently win as a college baseball pitcher.
The Airport graduate played two years at Jackson Community College and had an overall record of 12-3, containing a no-hitter.
Now a transfer student at Wayne State University he continues to display immeasurable success. His junior year has been more than amazing; he has a 3-0 record and a 0.75 earned-run average in five relief appearances for the Warriors. He has 13 strikeouts in 12 innings.

Vasiliauskas was the winning pitcher Saturday as Wayne State beat Findlay 5-3 in its Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener. He began the game in the fifth inning and pitched his team out of a jam, then blanked the Oilers in the sixth. He struck out two in 1 1/3 innings.

The Warriors also won the nightcap of the doubleheader 5-4 and are 11-4 overall.
