BSA hosts toy drive to support nonprofit

By Julian Sandoval

Students from Wayne State University’s School of Business Administration are sponsoring a toy drive until April 30 to support Bottomless Toy Chest. The group is collecting activity items for young adults undergoing cancer treatment. Sara Mahmood, a senior global supply chain and marketing major and primary WSU contact for the toy drive, said a marketing course initiated her involvement with Bottomless Toy Chest. Once involved, however, Mahmood and her group were inspired by the organization’s purpose and felt the need to go beyond the class and involve the business school. “My philosophy is thinking outside the box,” Mahmood said. “To be able to use my creativity and see it used for such a good cause has been extremely empowering.”
