Benzinga offers scholarship to future leaders in finance
Benzinga, a fast-growing and innovative financial media outlet, is offering a $1,000 scholarship opportunity to students who are passionate about pursuing a career in finance. The Benzinga Scholarship for Future Leaders in Finance is open to rising college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors, and the award may be used for tuition, housing, textbooks or other college-related expenses.
Students interested in applying are required to submit a 1,000-1,500 word essay on one of the two following topics:
- Describe how and why the finance industry can or should drive social change in today’s world
- Where do you think financial technology is headed? How might it foster change in the future?
Launched in 2010, Benzinga.com has become a hub for actionable information on capital markets with a readership of approximately two million a month, according to its website. Its headquarters is based in Detroit.
