Articulation agreement with Schoolcraft College simplifies the transfer process for business students

Wayne State University’s School of Business Administration has entered into an articulation agreement with Schoolcraft College. The agreement helps facilitate credit transfer and ensure a smooth transition for students transferring from Schoolcraft College to WSU’s business school. Under the agreement, the school is accepting more than the previously stipulated number of credits toward a bachelor’s degree and has articulated specific course equivalencies.

Schoolcraft College students earning an Associate in Applied Science in Accounting or Associate in Applied Science in General Business have an opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree in any of the six majors offered at the School of Business Administration in Midtown Detroit. An additional benefit to students majoring in accounting or management is that they also have the option to complete their degree at Wayne State’s Oakland Center in Farmington Hills.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Schoolcraft College to make the transition from community college to four-year university a seamless transfer for our students," said Linda Zaddach, assistant dean of undergraduate student services at the School of Business Administration.

WSU will accept 82 semester hours from Schoolcraft College to apply toward the minimum of 122 semester hours required to obtain a Bachelor of Arts/Science in Business Administration.

Before completing an application for admission, students are encouraged to contact a WSU business school advisor.

Margaret L. Williams, interim dean at the School of Business Administration, expressed enthusiasm about the new articulation agreement.

“We are proud to create these partnerships with area community colleges. In this particular case, it’s a win for Schoolcraft, a win for our business school, and a win for our students.”
