Alpha Kappa Psi to host public speaking competition

Alpha Kappa Psi, Wayne State’s professional business fraternity, will be hosting a public speaking competition on Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“This will be an amazing opportunity for students to practice their public speaking skills, which will prove to be very useful as we enter the work force,” said Neil Kochhar, president of Alpha Kappa Psi.

The competition will cover the following topics:

  • What is a major change, advancement, and/or innovation happening in your industry?
  • How will the information you learned in classes at Wayne State transfer into the workplace and help you there?

There is an entrance fee of $15 to participate in the competition and a $1,000 prize for first place.

Judging for the competition will be based on content and delivery. For more information, or to sign up, please view the event page or email Alpha Kappa Psi at akpsiwsu@wayne.edu.
