Accounting Aid Society seeks volunteers for 2020 tax prep program

https://ilitchbusiness.wayne.edu/news-images/2019-02-07_accounting_aid_society.pngThe Accounting Aid Society Collegiate Volunteer Program is seeking Wayne State students to help Detroiters prepare their income taxes. Mike Ilitch School of Business professors Deborah Habel and Matthew Roling help facilitate this program on campus.

Collegiate volunteers have a unique opportunity to assist members of underserved communities in Detroit and southeast Michigan by helping them complete and file their tax returns and gain access to millions of dollars in refunds. The top five Wayne State students logging the most volunteer hours for the society will each receive a $100 Shinola gift card.

To get involved, fill out a Volunteer Interest Form on the Accounting Aid Society website. A member of the Accounting Aid Society team will be in touch within 48 hours to explore training options and current volunteer opportunities.
