Accounting Aid Society seeks volunteers for 2019 tax prep program

The Accounting Aid Society Collegiate Volunteer Program is seeking Wayne State students to help Detroiters prepare their 2019 income taxes. Mike Ilitch School of Business professors Deborah Habel and Matthew Roling help facilitate this program on campus.

Collegiate volunteers have a unique opportunity to assist members of underserved communities in Detroit and southeast Michigan by helping them complete and file their tax returns and gain access to millions of dollars in refunds. The Wayne State student who clocks the most Accounting Aid Society volunteer hours this spring will win a pair of tickets to the Detroit Tigers Opening Day game on Thursday, April 4.

To get involved, fill out a Volunteer Interest Form on the Accounting Aid Society website. A member of the Accounting Aid Society team will be in touch within 48 hours to explore training options and current volunteer opportunities.
