WSU supply chain students win transportation association scholarship

Two Wayne State University global supply chain management majors, Ken Mazur and Karolina Kusza, were recently awarded $2,000 each in a scholarship from the Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity Foundation.

Since its inception in 1987, the foundation has provided numerous scholarships, research grants and funding for the Journal of Transportation Management. The foundation also provides continuous support of education in a changing industry.

Scholarships are granted annually to undergraduate students pursuing careers in transportation, logistics and the supply chain. Applicants must be currently studying in an institution with established programs in these fields.

Recent recipients include students at Michigan State University, Penn State University, Wayne State University, Iowa State University, Missouri State University, University of Maryland and the University of Tennessee. Applicants are judged on financial need; academic success; career commitment, motivation, and plans; recommendation and evaluation by faculty and internship; and experience related to transportation and logistics. For a complete list of previous scholarship recipients and other Delta Nu Alpha Foundation information, please visit their website.

He is the vice president of the Global Supply Chain Management Association and a member of the Business Student Senate. He is a recipient of the Wayne State Presidential Scholarship and the William L. Hurles and Lori Hurles Endowed Scholarship.
