AIAG and WSU join forces for unique, weeklong executive seminar on global automotive purchasing and supply chain management

Wayne State University, in cooperation with AIAG, is offering a one-week, automotive-industry focused Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Seminar that provides purchasing and supply chain executives with the knowledge to significantly improve company supply chain management contributions to cost, financial and overall performance. The seminar will take place Oct. 31-Nov. 4 at The Renaissance Center in Detroit. The program is also aimed at leaders in finance, product development, operations, and others who influence the success of their automotive supply chains, as well as those who will be undertaking new supply chain management leadership roles. "This seminar brings together purchasing, supply chain, and logistics executives to facilitate better integration of functions across the supply chain," says John C. Taylor, chair of the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at WSU's Mike Ilitch School of Business. "With five consecutive days of intense presentations and discussions on leading edge supply chain topics and interaction with the top supply chain academics and industry professionals, the seminar delivers a deeper dive than can be achieved in a typical one- or two-day conference. "It is a unique opportunity and learning environment for anyone who wants to advance their knowledge on automotive supply chain," he says.
