GroGenesis Announces New Independent Board Director

Jerry Platt (M.B.A. ’70) was named to the GroGenesis, Inc. Board of Directors effective Oct. 23. GroGenesis, Inc.  is a developer and manufacturer of all-natural and sustainable agricultural enhancement products.

Jerry Platt has a long career in academia and business with emphasis on international business, public policy and finance. Currently a professor of Global Business at Akita International University in Japan, Platt is the former dean of the School of Business at the University of Redlands and the former dean at the College of Business at San Francisco State University. Platt also has been a CEO and consults internationally. He has a Ph.D. in public policy from Ohio State University; an M.B.A. in finance from Wayne State University; and an M.S. in statistics from Stanford University.

Grant B. Walsh, chairman of GroGenesis’ Board of Directors, said, "It is wonderful to add an academic leader of Dr. Platt's stature to the board of GroGenesis.
