Amanuel Tekleab

Biography

Dr. Amanuel G. Tekleab (atekleab@wayne.edu) is a Board of Visitors Fellow and Professor of Organizational Behavior at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business. He earned his doctorate degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park. His research interests are focused on employment relationship (particularly psychological contracts), social exchanges, team characteristics and processes, organizational change, and training and development.

He has presented numerous studies related to his research areas in national and international conferences. His work has been published in management journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Group and Organization Management, Journal of Business Research, and Human Resource Management. He is Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Managerial Psychology and is a member of the editorial review boards of Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Studies, and Group & Organization, and serves as ad hoc reviewer for many journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Personnel Psychology.

He has won best paper awards from Journal of European Industrial Training and Human Resource Division of the Academy of Management. He was also a recipient of the Wayne State University Academy of Scholars’ Award to a Junior Faculty (2007-2008) and the School of Business Administration’s (Wayne State University) Board of Visitor Fellowship (2011-2014), Researcher of the Year Award (2009-2010), and Business Professor of the Year Award (2008-2009).
