The president of Wayne State's Beta Alpha Psi chapter and first-generation American and college student, Alec Albanna has developed relationships through the Mike Ilitch School of Business that paved the way for many opportunities. Through his participation in the Ilitch School's Corporate Mentor Program, Alec was offered a position as a regulatory affairs co-op, where he works under his mentor.

Alec has diverse work and internship experience. He completed his first accounting internship in 2017 with the City of Southfield's Planning and Engineering Department. He then began an internship with Plante Moran, where he worked with teams to audit financial statements with various organizations and worked on many different types of tax returns, cost-reporting projects and staff support projects. As a result, he received and has accepted a full-time offer to start at Plante Moran in 2020.

Alec has also had the opportunity to volunteer at several organizations including Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Salvation Army and the Sunshine Children's Home in Maumee, Ohio.
